Job Description

The Ecommerce Marketing Specialist leads advanced e-commerce initiatives to drive performance across all online channels. This role manages complex campaigns, oversees junior team members, and provides strategic guidance to improve customer acquisition, conversion rates, and overall revenue. They act as the bridge between tactical execution and strategic direction.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Campaign Development & Execution

  • Design and implement strategic e-commerce campaigns aimed at increasing customer acquisition, boosting sales, and enhancing brand visibility.
  • Leverage gamified tactics, seasonal promotions, and bundle offers tailored to segmented audiences.
  • Collaborate across design, development, and merchandising to ensure seamless rollout of campaign assets.
  • Use insights from performance metrics to iterate and improve future campaigns.

UX/UI & Journey Optimization

  • Work with the design and product teams to constantly improve website and app journeys.
  • Enhance the usability of homepage, category pages, product detail pages, and checkout processes.
  • Utilize user testing, heatmaps, and feedback tools to identify friction points.
  • Ensure design and flow align with customer expectations and digital marketing best practices.

Customer Segmentation & Personalization

  • Implement and maintain detailed customer segmentation models based on behavior, demographics, and transaction history.
  • Use segments to drive tailored campaign content across channels.
  • Integrate CRM data into campaigns for hyper-targeted personalization and retention.
  • Work with data teams to regularly update and clean segmentation lists.

Omnichannel Engagement & WhatsApp Integration

  • Coordinate campaigns across WhatsApp, email, app, and web to provide a unified customer experience.
  • Utilize WhatsApp for interactive marketing including restock alerts, abandoned cart recovery, and loyalty communications.
  • Ensure alignment of messaging across channels and support automation efforts.

Emarsys Knowledge

  • Must have knowledge and hands-on experience in Emarsys, including campaign setup, audience segmentation, automation workflows, and reporting.

Product Marketing & Merchandising Collaboration

  • Plan digital promotions with the merchandising team based on inventory and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure high-demand and strategic SKUs are prioritized within marketing initiatives.
  • Guide product bundling, cross-selling, and upselling efforts.

Analytics, Reporting & Budgeting

  • Lead campaign analysis to track sales, user engagement, conversion, and ROI.
  • Provide detailed dashboards to management highlighting wins and optimization areas.
  • Manage paid channel budgets and reallocate based on real-time performance.
  • Forecast traffic and revenue trends to guide quarterly and annual planning.

Loyalty & Retention Programs

  • Refine loyalty initiatives that incentivize repeat purchases and build community.
  • Plan multi-channel communications to reinforce loyalty program benefits.
  • Utilize personalization to maximize member participation and retention metrics. 

Online Engagement Tools (Notifications, Widgets, etc.)

  • Manage and optimize push notifications, pop-ups, in-app messages, and exit-intent strategies.
  • Test various triggers to improve retention and conversion rates.
  • Work with developers and CRM to align onsite triggers with automated journeys

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in E-commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, , or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in eCommerce marketing, digital campaign management, or online retail.
  • Proven track record of driving traffic and sales through innovative online campaigns.
  • Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, or similar eCommerce insight platforms.
  • Familiarity with retail, health & wellness, or omnichannel businesses is preferred.
