Production Biomedical Technician

Job Description

Job Objective: To repair, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on critical medical equipment and instruments used in the health care industry. Install the medical equipment used for diagnosing and treating patients.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Direct operation of biomedical equipment by providing demonstrations, supplying information and data, and instructing others in the care and use of equipment.
  • Keep biomedical equipment in working order by performing tests, following preventive maintenance guides, repairing, and troubleshooting break downs, evaluating service contracts, ordering special services if necessary, and maintaining inventories.
  • Test and calibrate components using a variety of manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and code requirements
  • Prepare reports by analyzing, collecting, and recapping trends and information.
  • Provide technical information on how to operate medical equipment.
  • Evaluate production equipment for readiness and cleanliness and ensure all processing parameters are according to established standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and accurate.
  • Assist in Investigation of product quality problems and recommends changes or improvements.  Collaborate with Production department on improving processes
  • Install and adjust a variety of biomedical and research equipment.
  • Assist in creating, evaluating, and improving processes for increasing both efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to product enhancements aimed to improve yields and manufacturability and apply proper test methodologies.
  • Support systematic preventive maintenance biomedical instrumentation and equipment program.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions with accuracy and precision.
  • Mentor and train associates on best practices within quality control.

Education :Diploma degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Pharmacy, or related technical field .

Language: Proficiency in both English and Arabic Language

Experience:

3 to 5 years relevant experience working with biomedical equipment.

  • Broad understanding of technical developments in the field of plant and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical data like electronic circuit diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Detailed knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (i.e. AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102 etc.).
  • Full understanding of ISO 13485 (Quality Management Systems for medical devices) relating to manufacturing, and other related regulations and standards.
  • Thorough understanding of all rules, regulations, and requirements issued by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regarding medical devices and other related areas.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Time Management Skills.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
