Fleet Cooling Unit Technician

Job Description

Functions and duties of the job:

-Is responsible for all trouble shooting assigned within center that included all kind of fleet vehicles.

-Taking responsibilities to handle major repairs by doing proper diagnosing.

-Make sure cost effective and efficient maintenance procedures all the time.

-Timely repairs of Cooling Units by checking daily basis especially engine coolant-compressor-cab control unit etc.

-Ensure the safety of Cooling Units and make sure it is maintaining cold chain.

-Perform PMS in time and make sure cooling units maintain minimum temperature

-Make proper estimate to replace any parts and get supervisor approval.

-Take decisions in time, ability to handle pressure and work independently.

-Ability to trouble shoot the defect independently.

-Proper and professional way of approach to each complaint. Fix it right the first time.

-Each and Every work must be updated in history book and signed by Supervisor.

-Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to the supervisor.

-Must follow ABC rules and regulations.

-Must have valid KSA driving license and the ability to work in any branch independently.

-Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs. Rearrange the work schedules in order to accommodate work order schedule and employee absences.

-Complete required forms and paper work for fleet maintenance shop including, but not limited to, repair orders, inspection forms, etc.

 -Perform major and minor electrical and mechanical repairs to both gas and diesel vehicles. Conduct preventative maintenance on District vehicles and equipment. This includes but is not limited to air and exhaust systems, brake systems, fuel systems, pumps and related parts, transmissions, etc.

-Ensure shop safety and cleanliness and abide by safety policies. Identify safety hazards and report unsafe conditions to supervisor

-Track time worked on each vehicle by type of repair and using standard time estimates based on industry standards. Identify and respond to inquiries where actual times vary from estimated times. Complete appropriate reporting on vehicle repairs and maintenance to supervisor.

-Schedule and arrange for outsourcing of repairs if necessary.

-Respond to service calls.

-Road test vehicles to verify complaints and/or repairs. Collaborate as necessary with mechanics regarding issues or repairs.

-Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

High school Diploma in Automobile Engineering.

2-3 years of professional Cooling Unit – automobile refrigeration work experience is

Working knowledge of industry tool and equipment

Having KSA Driving license and moderate driving skills

Able to read blueprints

Proficient in basic math

Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines

Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress, and track procurements and status

Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety

Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers

Education

Automobile Engineering.
