Automation Technician

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE

• Receives and carries out tasks given to him by his supervisor or maintenance engineer.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, coordinating with other technicians to troubleshoot issues and restore functionality.
• Implement temporary fixes if necessary to minimize downtime while long-term repairs are arranged.
• Implement scheduled routine inspections and servicing based on manufacturer recommendations and operational needs.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Monitoring and controlling the SCADA system of the automation system.
• Implementation of the preventive maintenance plans.
• Implementation of the corrective maintenance if happened.
• Supervising on the spare parts that we have.
• Must perform duties and responsibilities of general electrical work.
• Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
• Replenishes stock and inventory as needed.
• Dealing with hotline support if we need it.
• Conducting inspections to identify issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
• Solves routine equipment issues.
• Assisting other technicians in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and complex technical issues.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Medium school diploma or suitable equivalent Certificate in the automatic control as a technical discipline, or a relevant field is preferred.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
